We love new apps. It is one of the joys of our life to sift through the flood of apps that are published or updated every month and deliver the best or most interesting to our readers. November had some great apps for Android, the iPhone and the iPad. In our ongoing series of Apps Of The Month, we take a look at what November produced below. We are continuing for the third month with our list of app updates so you can keep track of what you need to update for functionality and security purposes. The list, as always, is a bit subjective so please let us know in the comments if we missed an app or you have found one that you cannot live without. One of the bigger unlocked opportunities around, in my opinion, is to create social tools and networks that are mobile first — that is, built around the smartphone experience to make use of its immediacy and ever-presentness. Instagram is a good example of this, as are GroupMe and Beluga (now Facebook Messenger), Kik and WhatsApp for chat, and the up-and-coming Socialcam and Klip for video. A new entrant in this category is Kibits, which yesterday posted a public tester version of its iPhone app, which helps users create groups on the fly to chat and collaborate. For instance, users can create a “Kibit” with chosen Facebook friends to share photos and chat, and maintain that same group for months. Or they could start a Kibit that’s open to other Kibit Read More

Social can be fun again

Excited to get my school friends into Kibits to share homework, talk about class, and communicate more effectively when we're not together. Great app!
Making Social Social!

Kibits is a fabulous ongoing social experience filtered through various event genres that you engage. Perhaps you'll create a Kibits for your weekly meet-up, a conference, community event, your monthly book club, fantasy sports league, or other short-lived or ongoing event. Or you can just to have a private sharing space for any other group you want to define/invite. The beauty is that it really is easy to share pictures, notes, maps and connect to your other favorite social spaces, leveraging the best of all social worlds, which can be really cumbersome with other apps. Not this one, Big thumbs up and hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!
A sweet tool

Kibits is a remarkable and flexible app for sharing docs and messaging between groups of people... Kind of a blend between twitter and Dropbox... A perfect mobile enabler for collaboration and conversations.
